I've been there...
I'm Angel!
I’m an expert when it comes to car karaoke, and there is no holding me back from a dance break when I Want It That Way by the BackStreet Boys comes on.
I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, and like many of my fellow Canadians, I’m a proud Drake representative.
I know because even as a “healthy” girl who worked out 5-6 days a week and ate healthy, I wasn’t always well.
In 2016 that my doctor found a large lump in my neck. ‘This could be cancer’ she said. I was frozen and my stomach literally dropped to my toes.
Nothing hits you quite like hearing the C bomb. But I didn’t have to sit in the sunken place for long. After a slew of tests, it only took a couple of days to get the call.
No cancer.
But the lump in my neck was most likely a goiter caused by hyperthyroidism. It turned out that it wasn’t just an overactive thyroid. It was Graves’ Disease. ‘You are one very lucky girl’ she said.
I knew she was right.
